Find Us at Barnsley Civic

You can find us on Eldon Street, right in the heart of Barnsley town centre.

Whether you’re driving or using public transport, we’re easy to reach and just a short walk from key transport hubs. If you’re driving, there are great parking options nearby, with most free after 5pm.

Travelling by Car

For drivers, the nearest car park is The Seam Upper and Lower on County Way. Use postcode S70 2JW for your sat nav. There’s also multi-story parking at The Glass Works, which includes six EV charging stations (postcode S70 1SF).

Both The Seam and The Glass Works car parks offer free parking after 5pm. For up-to-date parking information, click here.

From The Seam Upper Car Park: Walk along County Way, past DMC1, then turn left onto Regent Street. From there, head right onto Eldon Street, and we’re just 100m on the right.
From The Seam Lower Car Park: Head towards Barnsley Interchange, continue straight onto Eldon Street, and you’ll find us on the right-hand side.
From The Glass Works: Exit the lifts, turn right past River Island, and cross Glass Works Square. You’ll see Barnsley Civic directly ahead across Eldon Street.

By Public Transport

If you’re arriving by bus or train, exit Barnsley Interchange through the Eldon Street entrance, cross the road, turn left, and walk 100m. You’ll find us on the right-hand side.
