Barnsley Civic is proud to announce the launch of In Frame: Barnsley Young Photographers Award for its second year.

This year we partner with Photoworks. Photoworks champions photography for everyone; commissioning new photography, producing exhibitions and publishing books. They are an international platform, global in reach, and have provided opportunities for artists and audiences since 1995.

The Barnsley Young Photographers Award is committed to the development of artists aged up to 30 years old, living in, studying in or working in Barnsley.

We have three categories this year:

Emerging Professional – open to early career photographers up to the age of 30.

Student – open to those at college or university, aged 16 – 30.

School – in recognition of the recent emergence of the Photography GCSE, we celebrate the photography of young people aged between 11 – 16.
