Eat what you Sow – Growing Food in Small Spaces
Barnsley Civic is delighted to be teaming up with the National Trust for an exciting new community garden project.
Join us for a series of hands-on taster sessions this summer and get your hands dirty with the Wentworth Castle Gardens gardening team. You’ll help us transform and beautify our outdoor space, pick up practical tips and tricks for gardening in small spaces, and take home something to help you get growing.
Learn about growing herbs, salad leaves, and compact vegetables in containers, balconies, and windowsills. Learn what edible plants grow well in containers and pot up your own to take home.
Under 18s are welcome but must be accompanied by an adult.
Please note: These workshops are taking place at Barnsley Civic in Mandela Gardens behind the building (S70 2HZ).
