Discounts and concessions

We offer discounts (concessions) to under 30s, students, children, and disabled people. It’s more fun in a group! Parties of ten or more, and school bookings, can get reduced priced tickets throughout the year on some shows. Check when you book online, or ask at the Box Office. 

We reserve the right to ask for proof of entitlement to concession tickets.

Refunds and exchanges

All tickets are non-refundable, except in cases where:

  • The event has been cancelled,
  • The event has been rescheduled & you’re unable to make the new date,
  • Exceptional circumstances, at The Civic’s discretion.
  • Where a purchase has been made in cash, refunds will be provided by cheque & made out to the name you provided at the time of booking only.

 

At point of sale whether in-person, over the phone, or online, The Civic will ask for the following details:

  • Full Name
  • Postal Address
  • Telephone Number
  • Email Address

 

These details will be used to: deliver your tickets, to contact you about changes to the event, to verify your identity in the case of a refund, and in the interest of security.

The Civic will NOT use any of your details for marketing communications unless you have explicitly OPTED-IN to receive such. Your details will also NOT be shared with any 3rd parties without your consent, unless legally required.

At a minimum, your full name & at least 1 form of contact information is required to book tickets in advance.

Tickets can be booked without providing any contact information from 10 minutes before the start of the performance.

 

 

Payment and ticket collection

We’ll email you tickets before the show, and you can present them on your phone or print them. If you prefer, you can collect a printed copy of your e-ticket at the Box Office before the performance. 

 

Other terms

Details of events are correct at the time of producing the programme; please contact the Box Office to confirm listings and availabilty.

Performances will take place in the main Theatre or the Creation Space, unless it says otherwise.

Monday to Friday: 8.30am-5pm

Saturday: 9 – 4:30pm 

Sunday: (open when we have a performance only).

The Box Office remains open one hour prior to all performances and for a further 30 minutes after the start of each performance.

Last admission: 3:15pm

The Gallery is closed Sunday & Monday

The Civic generally does not open on Public and Bank Holidays

ACCESS

Our facilities include two disabled toilets, lift access to and from the auditorium, strong and approved handrails at both sides of staircase, wheelchair spaces offering front row facilities and an induction loop in the auditorium. Wheelchair users and people who are visually impaired are entitled to a free ticket for their carer/companion if requested. Guide dogs are welcome.
