Sheffield Children’s Hospital Charity has launched a bold and exciting call for artists to get involved in what promises to be South Yorkshire’s biggest public art trail yet – Pride of Yorkshire. Set to roar into life in summer 2026, this large-scale creative event will see 150 beautifully designed lion and lioness sculptures take pride of place across the region, and Barnsley Civic is thrilled to announce we’ll be one of the official host locations!
This is a paid commission and a fantastic opportunity for artists of all backgrounds to submit designs that will bring these majestic creatures to life. Selected artists will have their work seen by millions of visitors, residents, and tourists during the trail, making it an unmissable platform for creative exposure – all in support of the incredible work done by Sheffield Children’s Hospital.
Whether you’re a professional artist, illustrator, designer, or emerging creative, this is your chance to leave your mark on a high-profile, region-wide celebration of art, community, and Yorkshire pride.
