Get stuck into zine making with this relaxed drop-in workshop led by artist Emily Ryalls. You’ll have everything you need to give the process a go in an experimental and friendly environment, surrounded by an inspiring display of works within the wider Barnsley Zine Fair.
This is a free drop-in activity, with no need to book in advance. At busier times, you may be asked to wait.
This workshop is part of Barnsley’s FOTO 2026 photography festival, supported by Photoworks, Barnsley Council and Barnsley Civic.

Emily Ryalls, a Wakefield-based artist, uses photography and performance to explore lived experience and female representation, creating collaborative works that blur photographer–subject boundaries and reimagine photography as a tool for dialogue and connection.
