CREATIVE SOCIAL: WOMEN IN PHOTOGRAPHY
Join us for our next Creative Social event, Barnsley's only monthly networking event for artists and creatives. This is a fantastic opportunity for local artists to connect, share their work, and expand their creative networks – no matter what stage of their creative journey they're on. Come together to exchange ideas, resources, and contacts, vent frustrations, share tips, and offer support.
This month’s social is a partnership with the Barnsley Foto Festival for an evening celebrating women in photography.
Come along and meet women photographers from Barnsley and beyond; find out what they’re shooting, making, what inspires them and what their stories are. Bring along your own prints or zines to show others.
This event will take place in The Old Art School and will consist of a panel discussion (guests TBC) and social/sharing event. While we are spotlighting the work of women in photography and encourage local female photographers to bring work to share, attendance is open to any gender.
As with all our Creative Socials, these events are programme with local artists in mind, and are always free to attend. A pop-up bar will be available.
Barnsley Photo Collective is a community of Barnsley photographers and is part of the Photography Champions Programme – a national initiative led by @photoworks_uk supported by public funding through Arts Council England's national portfolio Arts Council England.
