Cameraless Photography Workshop for ages 14 – 18
Join artist Emily Ryalls and she leads an experimental workshop on alternative photography. The processes we'll explore will be cyanotype, chemigram, and lumen printing – all wonderfully unique ways to engage with analogue photography without the need for a camera. We'll be merging the history and origins of these processes with new contemporary approaches, thinking about what a photograph is as an object and its potential to tell or hold stories. This is a day for trying new things, pushing the boundaries of photography, and experiencing a little bit of analogue magic.
Free and open to young people aged 14 – 18 year of age.
This event is part of Barnsley Foto Festival, produced by Barnsley Photo Collective, and supported by Photoworks, Barnsley Civic and Barnsley Council, and is supported by the Great Childhoods Ambition fund.
