On this special event, we invite learning-disabled and autistic people and their caregivers to come and enjoy an afternoon of original, live rock music in a safe environment. Our line-up includes headliners Ultimate Thunder, an experimental, post punk, post disco, rock band from Leeds, predominantly made up of learning-disabled people.
This event is a standing gig, with some chairs available for those that need to sit.
This is a rock concert with stage lighting, so those who need ear defenders are advised to bring them.
For anybody that get sensory overwhelm during the concert, our bar area has comfortable seating and staff will be present. Enjoy!
Learning Disability Week in Barnsley is celebrated annually, and this year, it will run from June 17th to 23rd, 2024. The week is a time to raise awareness about learning disabilities and celebrate the achievements of people with learning disabilities, as well as challenge barriers they face.Barnsley Council, along with other local organizations, will be working together to promote the week and offer various events and activities.
