Safe Spaces Friendly Faces
A creative social group for LGBTQIA identifying people in Barnsley. Together with Lucy Dewsnap/Bearsuit we will be creating a show of creative responses and publication to showcase the voices of our community. Don’t worry if you can’t make the sessions in person. We will be providing creative art packs so you can enjoy the project from the comfort of your home.
Session 1 – Monday 18th August 6-8pm (OLD ART SCHOOL) Mood Boarding.
Session 2 – Thursday 28th August 6-8pm (OLD ART SCHOOL) Photo walk and outdoor sketching.
Session 3 – Monday 1st September 6-8pm (COMMUNITY ART SPACE) Creating still life set up and starting artwork.
Session 4 – Thursday 11th September 6-8pm (OLD ART SCHOOL) Painting continued
Session 5 – Thursday 18th September 6-8pm (OLD ART SCHOOL) Painting continued
Session 6 – Monday 22nd September 6-8pm (COMMUNITY ART SPACE) Finalise project, gather scrapbook/ sketchbooks for publication
