BYT Summer School: Play in a Week
Join Barnsley Youth Theatre for an exciting Summer School: Play in a Week designed for young people aged 13-18. Over the course of this intensive week, you will develop a range of skills in physical theatre, ensemble work, and character development. Working as a team, you'll explore how to use movement, energy, and creativity to shape powerful performances.
Maleable, is an ensemble theatre piece that explores how our environment shapes identity and perception. Through energetic, physical theatre, it examines how, like plasticine, people are constantly changing and reshaping, influenced by the world around them.

Summer School Details:
- Dates: 18th – 23rd August 2025
- Times: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Age Group: 13-18 years
- Schedule: Monday to Friday rehearsals, with a dress rehearsal and performance on Saturday.
This week is a fantastic opportunity to build your skills, gain confidence on stage, and make lasting memories. Whether you’re new to theatre or have experience, you’ll leave with valuable skills that will boost your creativity and performance abilities.
